best power heads for what i want to do

I have a 55 that I would like a powerhead in either end of. I would like to run one at a time for 15-45 min. What power head can take this abuse? What power head for the 55gal size? Can I do this with the ACJr

Nearly any power head can handle this. If you want really nice flow with a wide spread of water movement I like Tunze (they are a bit prices). If you do go with Tunze (and you get one of the controllable pumps) then you could upgrade to the AquaSurf in the future when your needs require.

Tunze is not the only option; I have just found that the pumps are fabulous, infinitely controllable, low voltage, low power and low heat, and the quietest pump I have EVER seen!
