I always used to get mine from Rudy's pet supply and feed on south western. 405-632-0524 6301 S Western Ave. Worth a call anyway.

If you need one right away check rudy's. If you can wait then Glasscages normally stops by OKC with a shipment every few months.

The cheapest place to buy tanks in OKC is at the Flying J or Petro truckstop. Ask Paul or someone for their #.

That company that comes through town every 2 or 3 months? They have like 10 people waiting to pick up tanks there every time. What their name?

I second the aquariums in Edmond, the Oceanic Seconds are very cheap. Glass Cages is aonther place online, but they only come to town a few times a year.

I am fairly certain that Glass Cages is coming through town like the 25th. I was going to buy from them, but Wet Pets had a better price AND included the overflow accessory kit, which Glass Cages doesn't provide.

I noticed WetPets had a special on 55 gallon reef tanks. I would first call Aquariums in Edmond and see if they have any seconds left. Then I would call Rudy's to see what he has available, then call Steve and see if he can meet or beat the price.

ok thanks

ok thanks

Here is my Glass Cages 135 RR. If I am correct you need to give him atleast 2 weeks for a regular tank(RR or just tank) and alittle longer for a straight up custom(your own dimensions). $60 for shipping. I am very pleased with mine.

Is this for real? Why would truckstops have aquariums?

Thats where they stop for the night and then thats where you pick up your tank through Glass cages. Its just a meeting area (Crossroads of America).

Does anyone have any websites with pictures of these kinds of tanks? I'm starting to get back into the hobby and would like to see some pictures of these tanks we can get here in OKC.

Chris, welcome to COMAS,

I dont have pics, but if you are near lake hefner, you are welcome to come by and see one of my glass cages tanks.

ray has a glass cages tank....he posted a few pics in the thread regarding power outages.

PS...coming to the Jan meeting?

Paul.

I do live near Lake Hefner, 122nd/Council, but with this ice storm I'm afraid I'm locked in for a few more days!

I guess thats sort of the information I'm looking for, what brands of tanks are good, and do these manufacturers have web sites that have some photos of their tanks? I'll do some more searching if you all give me some brands to search for when it comes to tanks!?

I've heard of Oceanic, they are good ones right?

The 55 gallon tank I had years ago was from PetSmart, cheapo brand I don't remember, so not sure I'll go that route again.

I need to figure out exactly what size I want, determined by where in my house I'd want it...so that is yet to be determined.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm thinking of coming to the meeting, I just saw your newpaper article today, my fiance' showed me it and it got me onto the web site and starting to think of getting my Trigger tank I've always wanted. Its been a while, so its like I'ms starting over and learning it all from scratch.

I am the least knowledged in the filtration systems there are available now...I don't know what overflows are, I don't know what sumps are, I don't know what I need etc, what is good for what, etc...so research is my start!
