Pukani from my understanding leeches lots of phosphates. I would go for reef saver rock, it dosent leech phosphates

BRS Pukani is the only choice for me! It's so darn porous. The phosphates is of little concern if you just cure it with some Phosphate RX or use some GFO. I've added directly to a running tank without issues.

Pukani - Put some work into it with a hacksaw and drill, along with some epoxy for larger structures. It is very easy to work with.

I did find that you should put work into it though. I think it looks bad when you just stack it and the obvious original growth patterns do not match up.

I voted for Fiji though I think pukani is better in terms of being porous. Fiji seems to be cheaper and is a close second to pukani. Plus I like the look of it.

I actually tried A Purple Reef rock this time around. Love the color we will see how it looks down the road.

Thanks for all of the votes!
After some more research I found Marco Rocks. I also like the look of those.
Anyone have any experience with them?

I've used Marco rocks twice but I was bored of it's look. For my upcoming tank I ordered both Pukani and complex branch tonga to make something a bit more unique, at least that's my idea. :D

However, both tanks that I used Marco rocks with were very successful and I was happy with my purchase.

I like the porosity and structure of the Pukani rock, however I can't really get myself to like the look of it. I like the marco rocks because of how solid it looks.
I am leaning towards the BRS Reef Saver or Marco Rocks.
I will probably add a marine pure block to my sump for added bio filtration if I go with one of those two.

I bought 50 pounds from BRS of Pukani asked for large size and got 3 beautiful large big *** rocks, and when you pick them up you know how porous it is. Pukani pounds go way further than any other rock I have ever had.

How did you ask for large? I've seen other people say something similar but when I ordered mine on their website I didn't see a comment section or anything, unless I'm blind.

I ordered 100 pounds of Pukani, I asked for a bunch of medium to large, I got 2 Monster rocks and a bunch of rubble. I will make it work, just going to take some work. I do like the look of the Pukani I was sent though.
If you call and order (which I did) you can specify sizes.

Best thing about pukani is there are so many nooks and crannies, it can house pods really well! Dispite having a scooter and a peacock wrasse, I have millions of pods roaming around at night

There should be a comment section somewhere when you add it to your cart or checkout.

Very much so, I have all kinds of critters roaming around, my two large red Serpent stars spend all day totally inside rocks where they should be.

If anyone has any pictures of their tanks with the rocks mentioned above I would love to see them!
