Best Rockscape EVER

After months of planning, searching for black pvc and parts, acrylic rods, making drawings and sketches, building the pvc stands, I decided to screw the pvc stands and just try to stack the rocks free-style. As soon as I started moving the rocks around huge sand/detritus/dust storms developed in the tank and I could barely see 6 inches. I worked through all this until about 5am this morning (started at 7pm the night before). I got bit TWICE by this stupid hitchhicker crab thats about 3" across and gives a nasty pinch. I spilled about 5 gallon of water on my nice carpet. I cut my hand up on the jagged rock. I fell off the step ladder a couple of times. I dropped a rather larger rock on the bare bottom and held my breath the tank would not crack. I dont know what happened but last thing I remember it was 5am, I was alseep on the floor and my dog was licking my nasty salty hands.

Anyways, with the sand slowly clearing I think I can just make out the best rock-scaping there ever existed in the world. I put my old 125 tank to shame.

The sand storm is still raging but after it clears a little more today I will take pictures to allow all the world to gaze at the most admirable rockscape.

Here are some pictures of my 125 in the meantime to hold you guys over until the new tank is picture-ready.

Are these pics of the old rockscape, or the new one? I'm confused. Sounds like a lot of work, it's a good thing you're so happy with the results! :)

I am waiting for the dust to settle in the new tank. Thats pics of my old 125. Its held up by PVC but the rocks are very boulder-like and it made it very hard to make it look nice. I was able to hide like 8 powerheads in the rocks so you cant see them. Still I consider it only a decent rockscape. It was my first attempt at rockscaping and it took weeks and weeks. The new tank only took one night but the rocks are much nicer shapes.

can't wait to see the pics. i'm going to rescape my 12 gallon. you would think it would be easy but when you stick your hand in such a small tank it's very hard to scape. least i won't fall off a ladder.

Need pics is right!:p I've got a similar 125 that's a year old (AGA with dual mega-overflows), and I'm thinking of re-aquascaping, and possibly at the same time going BB. If this is the best ever as advertized, I'm gonna do my best to copy it! :D

I can't believe you started this thread without the pics. It's just downright mean to make a claim like you've made... and not post a pic.

awesome. Is that peice on the right leaning against the right pane?

Yea it is. Its the only piece I have against the glass but my puffer likes to swim underneath it so i left it.

Alright people, I know I have kept everybody in incredible suspense long enough. I am going home now from work and am taking pics of the new 220 gallon rockscape right away so that everyone can oogle and ogle all weekend long. :eek2:

(if you see a couple of floating dead mollies just nevermind them, they are not causing you any harm)

"My dog was licking my nasty salty hands" <<<< My favorite part of the story hahaha.

Ahhh okay I was gonna say... you went thru all that work just to create a "fruit stand"? lol :p
