After months of planning, searching for black pvc and parts, acrylic rods, making drawings and sketches, building the pvc stands, I decided to screw the pvc stands and just try to stack the rocks free-style. As soon as I started moving the rocks around huge sand/detritus/dust storms developed in the tank and I could barely see 6 inches. I worked through all this until about 5am this morning (started at 7pm the night before). I got bit TWICE by this stupid hitchhicker crab thats about 3" across and gives a nasty pinch. I spilled about 5 gallon of water on my nice carpet. I cut my hand up on the jagged rock. I fell off the step ladder a couple of times. I dropped a rather larger rock on the bare bottom and held my breath the tank would not crack. I dont know what happened but last thing I remember it was 5am, I was alseep on the floor and my dog was licking my nasty salty hands.
Anyways, with the sand slowly clearing I think I can just make out the best rock-scaping there ever existed in the world. I put my old 125 tank to shame.
The sand storm is still raging but after it clears a little more today I will take pictures to allow all the world to gaze at the most admirable rockscape.
Here are some pictures of my 125 in the meantime to hold you guys over until the new tank is picture-ready.
