Best Substrate

Going to be starting a 200 gallon starfire front in the near future. Have always had sand, don't want to go barebottom. Thinking about doing sand again or mixing something with sand (old sand from 72) just not sure. Anyone have sugeestions for what they think is the best substrate and why? I'm so scared of scratching the starfire...

The glass won't get scratched unless you get some sand stuck between a strong algae magnet.

I like CaribSea's Reef Floor special grade.

If you use some sand from the 72 use it sparingly. You do not want to transfer any nitrates from the sand. You can use it to seed the new sand but make sure the old sand is on the bottom and is covered.

put the sand from the 72 down first and then pour the new snd over it? or should I mix them together?
