Thanks for your opinions. Tough algae removal with NO scratches are my priority and I think I may go with the Tunze. Now I have to decide which....the long, or the strong!
I have the long and my side glass sat for over 8 months without a cleaning due to another tank being next to it. I broke out my kent scrapper and a long razor blade expecting to be elbow deep into the tank. The Tunze took care of it without much issue. So unless you have really thick glass I think the normal would suffice. The magnets on it are pretty darn strong as is.
I've used the tunze long for a couple years and it's the best scraper I've used. A word of caution, I just bought a new starfire tank and put 6 inch scratch down the side with the tunze. It is not impervious to picking up small rocks under the plastic blade. The magnet is very week for an 1/2 inch tank. It works but you do have to be careful not to break contact.
Thanks for the opinions. I am aware that care must still be taken with the Tunze AND the Flipper! Still think I am going with Tunze for my 120 glass and am leaning towards the "strong".
