Best Tunze for 75 SPS

Don't Panic!
Looking into improving circulation in my 75 gallon sps tank. I have considered the vortech, but still a little apprehensive of the whole 'whirrrrrrrrr whirrrrrrr whirrrrrrrr' noise in my living room. My top choice right now is the tunze 6105 w/ a single controller or a 6055 with the single controller. I would rather have the multi, but it is pretty high dollar. Any input would be great and much appreciated. Thanks.

What about Koralia wave maker

What about Koralia wave maker

If you got with the Tunze 6055 and a single controller you are going to spend a little more than $300 and get flow from 260 to 1400 gph. For about $400 you can get the Hydor 2-way and 2 koralia 4s. You get the duel control you wanted and your flow is twice that of the single tunze.

I run a Hydor 2-way with 2 of there Koralia Magnum 5s and I love them. Awesome flow and great wave action in the tank. The Hydor wavemaker is also really user friendly and not to mention much friendlier to yuor electric bill. :D

Doing what I did with 2 Magnum 5s, will run you about $575 and get you a flow of 600 to 2000 gph per pump for a total of 1200 to 4000 for the tank. I think a Tunze 6105 with controler will run you a little over $400 for about the same flow as the magnums, but you lose the advantage of having to pumps to direct and control.

Thanks for the input, I am just not a big fan of any hydor products they just always seem kind of low quality. I hear you about the 2 powerheads being better than one. I don't know about hitting all the tank with just 1 pump. All kind of confusing. It seems easy to find info about the vortech, but not much on the newer tunzes.

the tunze 6105 is a really nice unit. I have owned it and the vortech. The vortech is a broader flow where teh tunze is more directed. Just diffrent. The tunze is quieter. I am a tunze and a vortech fan. Both are good.

I have a 6055 with the single controller in my 60g, but then I added a 6045. Everything is awesome, tank is BB. I would suggest maybe like 2 or 3 6045s. Maybe you can even go with the 6025 but mod them.

I actually run 3 modded 6025's now. They provide great amount of flow, but very predictable. The main reason I want to upgrade is the detritus that I see running around on the sandbed. I have tried countless powerhead placements, but it always finds a place to hide.
