Best two part out there..

Here's one of the concerns I have. I'm supposed to have magnesium because it prevents the calcium from precipitating right? Does B-ionic solve this problem?

Make your own... If you can't find down flake, pladow, or magflake get it rhough one of the sponsors such as Bulk Reef Supply.

I have been looking at BRS's stuff. The only thing that is withholding me from buying their stuff is how they affect ph (one recipe raises it another lowers it) Should I be worrying about that?

There's two methods for DIY 2-part. If you bake your baking soda, the end product will raise your pH slightly. If you don't bake it, it will have a slightly lowering effect. If your pH hovers around 7.9-8.1 I would bake it. ;)

Just save your time and go to Bulk Reef Supply. Great 2-part starter kits to get you going. From there you can experiment a little. If you want to save even more money, just use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for your Alkalinity part and buy the rest from BRS.

They sell two recipes one that lowers Ph and one that raises ph, I assume one is baked another isn't? Thanks for the info drummereef, btw the tanks coming along nice!

What test kits are good to check the parameters?
