Best way for Ponape Birdsnest to recover from bleaching?

Here is a frag of Ponape birdsnest I purchased and it bleached? after I put it in my tank under a 4 bulb T5 fixture with ATI bulbs. I now have LEDs and have been slowly ramping up the intensity and kept the birdsnest on the sandbed and sort of shaded. All the other corals I got at the same time, including two other birdsnest, have all done great and they are up on the top of the rockwork. Could this have been too much light or too little light? And should I start to raise it a little to get more light now? You can see the polyps or most of them have some color now. I appreciate any advice I get on this coral, really want to save it.

Give it time. Ponape usually does best with lower light. Keep it on the bottom and leave it alone for at least a few weeks. Should be fine. Once the get comfortable, they grow ridiculously fast!

Leave it be, and low light is best for these guys

Big hello to another CMAC member! I picked up a Ponape frag at the frag show in Sept, and it was very pale with purple growth tips. Upgraded to LED's a couple of weeks ago, and as I've slowly ramped up, I'm finally starting to get some green. It's not in the sand, but it is low in the tank. You definitely have some nice purple in your pic, but I was thinking that the polyps look retracted? Are they opening up for you? The rest of the parameters are good?
