Best way to catch crabs

even after careful scanning before placing my live rocks in the display tank, there are still at least 3-5 crabs that I didn't manage to pick out.

Any of you have suggestions on how to remove them? Taking out the live rock is the last method because some of the crabs are hiding in the lower level of rocks.

Maybe a trap that will sit on the bottom of the tank and add a piece of shrimp....see if the little buggers will come out for a snack.

I've tried a smooth glass with food at the bottom right next to where they live. They can't climb back up the smooth surface.

It didn't work.

I just ended taking the rock out that he was hiding in and he crawled out with a little prodding.

Try to catch them by using food to lure them to a corner. It worked on my Sally crab.

I actually tied a piece of krill to some fishing line and slowly lured a gorilla crab out of the acro he was killing and then netted him.

Oh....and AD 2000 with the little comb worked wonders for me in college.

I waited a couple hrs after lights out and when in with flashlight/red lens. They where out in the open and stabbed them with a skewer!

put a glass cup with a little bit of wieght to it up side down on the sand with a piece of food in it, they can lift the cup up to get inside but cant figure out how to get out
