Best way to clean everything.

Ok so I am taking down my tank and I want to know what's the best way to clean everything as best as I can for storage so I can use it again when I rebuild my tank system. And I mean I just have a filter, a few circulation pumps, and a protein skimmer

WHite vinegar, straight. Run the pumps in vinegar, then in plain water, then let dry in sun. Run all with white vinegar, disassemble, wipe dry, store with a dust proof cover, be it just putting the gear into the tank and lightly taping a cardboard cover onto it.

What's the best way to clean the tank?? Because I plan on letting my little brother use it for his turtle and I want to make the tank like new. But i really kinda let it go and the sides are caked with algae
