I have my peacock and I want to know the sex of it.
I know that the males are usually more green in the shell when mature and that females are more olive when mature. I also know that you should be able to look for the penises on large males which should be behind the last walking legs.
My peacock isn't fully mature yet. He/she is about 4 inches, maybe less I would say, and is more olive on the shell and I can't locate any sex organs behind its legs so I think it might be a female but I'm not sure if it's just too young to locate the organs.
Are there any other ways that the sexes differ? Am I looking in the right place for the organs? Thanks
