Best way to frag undata

My undata has stn on its base. The base is encrusted onto a coral disc. I want to frag the piece so I can get rid of the part that has stn. What is the est way to drag an undata?

Band saw will get you the cleanest cut or you can use nine cutters bandsaw is best.

undata is very hearty coral, look why it is stn'ing. Water change might help, parameters, how is your ro/di. are you feeding enough.

I guess you could break the frag plug with bone cutters, or use a wet band saw.

I'm not sure why it's stning. Everything else is doing well and I checked my calc and all levels and it is a little high but it has been doing well till now. I did a water change the day before it happened so I'm not sure what's happening

my undata is almost 18 inches under a 250 watt 10k, possibly too high in your tank

I always use a Dremel tool with a diamond disc to frag my undata / chalices other hard corals.

I keep mine pretty high up in the tank right under my 250W 20K and it goes very well, grows like a weed.
