Best Way To Plug Hole?

I am removing my Kent float switch from my sump. My sump is acrylic and the hole is around 1/2" in size. Would it be best to just glue a small piece of acrylic over the hole from the inside of the sump? I would also use acrylic glue. Is this the best way to keep it from leaking? Thanks Steve

From what I read on RC people usually cut out a square piece of acrylic and use weldon glue to make it stick. For reassurance, I would put one on the inside and outside.

Maybe you could use a bulk head and then cap it so if you ever want to use the hole agian it would be possible.

jjwarfly..Do they make a bulkhead that small? I think I might have to make the hole bigger for that to work. Thanks

buying a hole saw for what ever size you need isnt that expensive

If you are going to use Weld On go with #3 or #4. This is very fast drying and will be ready to fill up with water in 5 minutes. I'll PM you with my phone number if you have any more technical questions about acrylic gluing.

id just plug up the hole, you can always drill another hole in the acrylic down the road.

try a 1/2 threaded nipple with a threaded cap on the other side. can buy at any local hardware store.
