best way to remove dead hair algae from sandbed

so after bruahing Gha off rocks they mostly end up on sandbed except for the ones I was able to catch...

anyway is best way to siphon it out or should I grab a goby or blenny?

I usually just siphon but it grabs sand with it

Yeah I'm going through same thing. I usually grab a small net with one hand and grab the gha with the other, and kind of scoop it into the small net. I try to siphon as well. But the algae has sand stuck to it which makes it too heavy to make it out of the tube. Ugh. I was thinking of trying just a hose to see if that will create enough suction to at least do small parts at a time.

And that's why I'll never go without my trusty Python Siphon. Hook it to the sink, run it over to the tank and turn on the faucet. INSTANT SUCTION!!! It may be a bit pricier than some other knock-offs, but it will last you the life of your system(s). Mine is now over 30 years old and going strong.
