most wholesalers are importers not growers.
not to say you can't do it, but the odds of a small business like this would be very hard to sell to a bank for the loans, get a tax id number, business license any permits required in your state and compete with importers is tough.

I would just try to look at it as a tax write off myself and try to defray some of the costs for the hobby. Just incorporate it and use it as a shell. Every vacation and most things you do would be run through the corporation. You can even put your kids on the board

The IRS aggressively looks for hobby businesses and there are many rules in place to make this strategy very problematic. Plus the filing is quite burdensome.
