Best wrasse to control AEFW?

Figured I'd make a new thread asking.
I don't have them now, but I would like a wrasse a precaution to having them. I have a large tank with very few fish in it so it couldnt hurt.

Ive heard mention of a bunch of different ones, wondering if someone has tried multiple ones and found a 'best' one.

I know all individual fish are different...but there have to be a few top species.

I have a six line wrasse and a yellow wrasse to act as biological controls for pests, especially aefw. I can see them inspecting my corals. Six line is mean so maybe a four line wrasse.

Green Coris Wrasse also work really well I have one in my tank and it keeps all my pest under control and doesn't pick at any of my coral

Yellow coris, radiant/rainbow coris, Anampses wrasses, and leopard wrasses are all good choices for wrasses that pick at the rocks for food. They may or may not have a taste for AEWF. You can prevent AEFW with proper selection and QT procedures.

What 29reef said. Seriously though, we've seen these threads before. It's going to come down to the individual wrasse. There's reportedly many wrasses that pick at AEFW. But we've seen following posts say, "I have the same wrasse/wrasses and they don't eat them" quite a few times.

I've love/employ a Potters, Coris, Lubbocks and Melanuarus wrasses. The Lubbocks appears to be the least active in this sense.

The wrasses mentioned all have the potential to hunt the flatworms down. The bottom line is, they can HELP PREVENT a breakout and not fix a problem. IMO ounce of prevention

Even though it sucks I would pick up some flatworm exit and do as many doses it takes to rid the tank of them. As for a wrasse, Id go with the yellow corris wrasse or the sixline, very easy to take care of and you will have a better chance of success with them. Leopard wrasses are very finicky eaters if you dont have a mature tank and a large supply of pods they will most likely die of starvation and sometimes even when you do have them eating and they seem fat and healthy they die as well. Very touchy fish IMO.

Melarunus wrasse. I had red planaria flot worms and he eradicated every worm in the tank inside a week (well two weeks he spent one full week under the sand)

Yeah flatworm exit doesn't kill aefw.

Good point. Planaria and AEFW are quite different. Flatworm exit is proven to be effective against planaria. Under standard usage against Aefw...not so much.
