Over the past 6 or so years I have noticed that I have better success (better coral growth, less film/hair algae, healthier fish) when I have had a species of caulerpa growing in my aquarium. I have never used a refugium so I don't know if the results would be the same if I simply grew caulerpa or cheato in the sump. Has anyone else noticed this?
