I'm not saying ANYONE took them to the swap, I'm saying that I know there are a couple confirmed cases going around, and just wanting to give everyone a heads up since we all like to trade so much and since there was just a frag swap, so if anyone has a monti that's looking wierd they would know. Again, I don't know where they came from, I didn't have any corals at the swap, and didn't even go to it. Fewell doesn't have them, but I do, and he hasn't added anything new to his system, but I have, so they're out there somewhere and whoever does have them and might not know it. They only attack monti's, no other corals, not even acro's, just monti's. They had to come in as eggs, and the eggs are micro sized and dips don't kill them, so they don't necessarily have to come in on a monti. They are asexual and multi super fast, and eat monti's almost over night, but take a while to mature before you really start to notice the effect they are having, so who knows how long they have been dormant in my tank. I lost an entire colony in 2 days before I saw them and figured out what happened. If you remember the orange cap, it's gone. I didn't have them before I moved, but now I do, and I'd say they showed up sometime after my move, and are just now expanding fast enough for me to notice. Google monti eating nudi's and you'll see what they look like. Hopefully I will be the only one who truely turns out to have them, and I do for sure.
