bicolor angels-cyanide issues?

I've always thought that bicolors in particular (Philippines) were at greater risk from cyanide collection. Anyone know if this is true? Looking closely at getting one. Thanks

Hard to say. There some that come out of Fiji you could try to source one of those instead. IME the Coral Beauties coming from the Phillipines are the sketchiest.

I would avoid the Philippines as mentioned. Even with the international efforts, cyanide is still used. Fishermen are also still using dynamite, which I've heard underwater many times.

In the Philippines and Indonesia cyanide is still the collection method used, although it is slowly being phased out. I wouldn't encourage you to get fish from a cyanide collector, but any fish that are collected that way and make it to the "states" are likely to survive since most cyanide fish will die within the first two weeks after collection
