Bicolor Blenny and Acros

Ok,

I went to liveaquaria and checked on the characteristics for a bicolor blenny. Said 30g (check), reef safe (awesome) and temperament (peaceful). So I went out and got a cool lookin guy from O'Street. I actually saw it first at O'st and then went back home to do a little research before buying.

So now it looks like he's pecking at one of my acros :( I watch the tank and he'll roam the rockwork but from time to time he'll make a quick dash at what seems to be the polyps of the acro right over the hole he spends the day at. Now there's no PE during the day and not sure how its affecting the acro.

Has anyone had any experience with this fish? At nite the polyps come out but i'm afraid he's harming it or stressing it.

I knew I should have left well enough alone by not getting anything new :)

Any thoughts? I am ready to remove the rock he sleeps in while he's sleeping and getting him out.

tia,

Jason

Bicolors are notorious for that. Others in that genus are as well. Some get lucky, but I'd remove him ASAP.

Grrr....thats what I thought. Last time I read Liveaquaria for advice. :(

Ok i'll do a water change tonite I guess and I think I'll be able to grab the rock he now hides in. Man he was so cool too.

Thanks for the advice.

He's out :) Anyone want him? heheheeh. Again thanks for the advice. I was pretty sure it was about time to take him out but just needed that push to get me to stick my hands in there and start moving stuff to get to the rock he's in.
