Bicolor Blenny Diet

I just got a Bicolor Blenny from a lady tearing down her tank. I have had one of these before but he developed a belly issue of some sorts and died. The one I had I was feeding formula 2 flakes and he would eat algae off the rocks. I want to make sure I do all I can for this little guy, I think I saw a white spot on a fin, so I put some Nori up on a clip for him. Anything else that might be good for this guy to eat?

I feed mine small reef pellets (which he has a hard time eating), brine shrimp, and he nips at rocks. He's been alive and happy for about a month but I'm sure I should be doing more for him. I'd watch that spot though.

Just feed a variety of things and make sure you include veggies. I like to feed spirulina flakes to all my fish that will eat it. Nori is good too. Mine eats pretty much anything I put in the tank.

ok cool. I certainly have my eye on the spot. He is venturing out of the his rock. I couldn't get him out of the rock from teh lady's fishtank so I just stuck the whole rock in my tank. Didn't want to since there was some aptasia on it, but a bit of joe's juice and I nuked out about 10 this morning. I think keeping the familiar rock will help him adapt. Maybe my peppermint shrimp will get off his butt and eat the rest of the aptasia.

I've had mine for about 6 months now.

Besides algae, he eats Formula One flakes and Spectrum pellets as well. It did take him several weeks to warm up to either food though. At first I was pretty worried about him. When adding my flake food I like to put some directly into the water (as opposed to dropping it on the surface). He goes after that like gangbusters.

Also, depending on where exactly you saw the white spots they may be just stress. Whenever the lights go off all bi-colors have several white spots that appear on the head area but go away pretty quickly once they lights turn on.
