Greetings,

As some of you may already know, I recently set up a larger reef system and I am in the process of transfering most of my corals over to the new system. However in the process, I am ending up with a lot of frags, and there are certain corals that I do not want to have in my new system.

So I have the following frags on sale on Saturday the 20th at 2:00pm at my house, everyone is welcome, I will have some snacks etc...

Whatever I cannot sell will be given away FREE on Sunday at 2:00pm because I do not want to throw away any corals. Put pm me for Sunday coral availabilty before you come as I am expecting all to be gone on Saturday. This is a first come first serve event.

I am willing to take some trades, but I can only take what I am willing to put in my main display tank, so if you have something to trade in, PM me.

The following is what I have

Blue/Purple tort (1-2inch frag) - $15
Yellow/Green slimer stag (1-2 inch) - $15
Yellow Scroll Coral (1-2 inch) - $15
Orange Branching Montipora (1-2 inch) - $10
Purple Branching Montiora (1-2 inch) - $10
Branching Frogspawn (green) $10 each head
Branching Torch(brown/greenish tips) each head $5
Toadstool $10 - $5
Blue Mushroom Rock - $15 (it has 10 + blue/purple mushrooms on it)
Xenia - FREE
Mushrooms - FREE
Brown Button Polyps - FREE
Other stuff softies - FREE or $5
Macroalgea - FREE

here are the links to some of the SPS corals;

All corals are in the tank and some are attached to mother colonies still, basically I will cut a piece in front of you and put it in a bag and that is it. As the day goes by if the corals are not gone, frags will get bigger until they are gone or very little left.

I will also show you my new tank and the canopy that Ryan Nielsen(nielsen2773) built for $$$ that does not fit(close) properly over my tank and he agreed to fix it but now refusing to answer my phone calls after he got his money, but more on that later.Maybe this will get his attention.

Just as an FYI: all SPS corals are bug free no AEFW or red bugs, however I do have regular flatworms that are on soft corals and some LPSs(they have done no harm to my soft corals however they are an eye sore), after getting the corals I would treat them with TMPCC or/and flat worm exit to get rid of them completely.

PM me for my address if you do not know where I live,

Hope to see you all there this weekend,

THanks

Cagri

Nice tank! So are you fraging all your colonies until they are completely gone? or just enough so you can get them out?

I already got enough out, during the process I broke off bunch of stuff of course, and put it in my new display, I just would like to share the rest with you guys.

I know how fast some of these corals grow, so I would like to make sure I have them spread out plenty in the new tank and not run into the same problems I did in this tank(at least not as quickly) where everything overcrowds each other and the flow cannot get through the corals.

nice corals, hope to make it on saturday!

about the canopy... knowing ryan and his schedule and home life, Im shure that he will resolve this problem. he is hard to contact sometimes, having very active children and being a self employed contractor. I am also a self employed private contractor and in my line of work sometimes your very large accounts dictate much of your time. This effects all of your other work and family. With this in mind, back the bus up. Im shure
your canopy still looks better than 90% of everyone elses

Well, I am not reallly asking much from him, one call from him is all I want, nothing more,he could just say I am busy, I will see you next weekend, or in 2 weeks, or whatever, I am flexible, but when someone tells you that he needs the money(so I paid him early), and he will see you on certain day, and you cancel everything else because expecting him to come over that day, and he ends up not calling you or showing up at all, pretty much dissapear with your money?
What would you think?

I called him like 8 times(left at least 3-4 messages), and no response.

Canopy is %90 there, I can fix the rest myself but that is not the point here, I am not touching it on purpose because I paid him to do it. And I usually never pay anybody %100 until everything is %100 to my satisfaction. The only reason I paid him is because of referrals from some of the members here, I guess I should have known better.

Again all I want is a phone call from him, and tell me that he will be over to complete the project, I am even willing to help him. I just do not like people that do not keep their word, just shows what kind of people they truely are.

I forgot to mention, I also have about 80 pounds of dry rock(eco-Rox) from bulkreefsupply. It is the Pukani type. This is a very pourous rock, it really is very nice looking.

This is the only rock I used to build my new reef structure, and 80 pounds is left over that I am not going to use, there is about 10 pounds of shelf rock in there too that I bought from Brad earlier this year.

Rock is $2.49 - 2.69 a pound at the source.
Pukani Rock

I am selling it for $2 a pound.
I also have a regular remora skimmer, this one does not have lid, and have some other small issues, but it works ($15)

Your situation sound very simular to my tank and stand that he was suppose to have built for me... Well bottom line is he was 2 months behind when he said it would be complete, would not return my phone calls... after a a couple weeks I did get in contact with him and I asked for my money back....

He gave me a check (my mistake) Well the check ended up bouncing sending my checking account into overdraft city because of it.

I did end up getting my money and he also payed for the overdraft fees.

Now I'm sitting here with a 150 gallon tank, lights, pumps, skimmer, rock and nothing to place it on.

I once considered Ryan a good dude and would recommend him to anyone for work. Now I would say stay as far away from him as possible and never give him money up front.

You can come up with excuses for busy family life etc... We all have busy lifes but when someone tells you one thing, doesn't return your calls, give you bad checks... I'll let you decide.

On a side note, Cagri your tank is going to be awesome man! let me know if you need help with anything!

J.J.

Potroast, I sent you the directions.

For anyone coming out of town, please do not make the trip just for this, as almost all corals are already spoken for, I do not want you to come here and go back empty handed. I know there are couple of people, I told them I would hold couple of heads of torch and frogspawn for those.

JJ, well I guess I am not the only one, as a matter of fact couple of other people pmed me about their similar situation, so my advice would also be to stay away from him if you are considering doing business with Ryan Nielsen.

JJ, you are more than welcome to stop by tomorrow if you are free to see the progress on the new tank... Tank has cycled, and corals are already in and I know hard to believe but showing growth in one week.
