Very nice, shooting the southern open?
What depth and how was the vis?

160' and vis wasn't good deep. The first 140' is perfect clear blue and under that a big thermocline and mud. Couldn't see the end of my spear. This guy was swimming with hundreds of Tarpon (never saw Tarpon out there before) when I rolled it.

Good Job.
Offshore Tarpon fishing, a whole new industry, maybe we can convince some of the 250 boats clogging Boca Grande pass to look for them out 50 miles.

AMBER JACK one of the most common fish around here.

Nice catch!!! I noticed alot of boats on I-75 last Sunday probally from that tourney. How often do they come here to fish?

We always hunt here. And there is a lots of people participate in this tournaments. Most of them live here West Coast Florida. I would say once a month we have tournaments. I do 5-6/year.

where where you diving for this? ( Rough location if your one of those guys who don't like to give up their spots! lol) don't see many of those around SRQ's reefs!

Whats a really deep dive?

this size of carbos we are pulling up from 170'...well this is not really deep for those technical divers but for a regular diver that's a decent depth...
