Is it bad or good?

That's a polyclad flatworm. Not a good thing to have in your tank. They tend to prey on snails and clams.

What did your clam look like after the flat worm killed it? I think we may have one of these in one of our tanks, and a clam we purchased 2 weeks ago died over night. Could that be the cause? Has nothing to do with water quality or fish. Clam looked great till one day it was toast. Also why are snail population has gone way way down. Any way to trap them?

My clam was looking perfectly healthy before the light goes off but in the morning, the tissue inside the clam shell was like diluated in the water!!!

Sounds the same as our clam. Woke up to see it very small, pale like in it's shell, and would not open or close. Just shrunk and died. Did not smell, or look like slime either.
