So my tank is about ready to literally be installed and now my wife doesn't want it upstairs, like on the first floor any where. :fun2:

I have no idea how to convince her so I might need to ask for forgiveness. Thoughts or ideas welcome.

Forgiveness is kind of hard to get if she has the source of her anguish in her face any time she is home....
I say honor her wishes.
You may be able to turn your negative into a positive. Just sell her on the "fact" that some of the things you want for your tank, you actually need for your tank since she wanted it downstairs...

Just do it for sure..... not cause I think it's a good idea or that it will work out well for you but I think it will make for some good reading when you post up how that "forgiveness" went lol

My tank is our living room because I let my bride pick the furniture, canopy and stand, and now she enjoys the hobby with me. Left to my own devices furniture would have been the least of my concerns at the time and much less expensive but it's been worth the extra expense to enjoy the tank in our living room as a couple.

This is the best part of your post lol but really you have a good point we haven't heard the reason why she doesn't want it there. Is it the space or design or something us guys don't even think of? Did you ask her that pife or was it a flat out "no go and I don't have to explain my reason to you"

There is only 2 locations it "fits"(not in front of a window). She was okay with it until it became a reality. It was install new flooring and then we can set it up ect ect. Now that all of that is done she's out of reasons.

I think you need to start a poll. As Sanford and Son as you've been, I imagine her concerns are more about aesthetics She might just want you downstairs out of her hair for some peace and quiet...that woman is a Saint!

Just tell her you will put the DT downstairs after you finish the basement so it will have to be upstairs until then??? Then in 3-5 years when the basement is finished you will probably be ready for a new DT anyway.
