I've had my tank up and running for around a year and a half now. I have two tank raised mated percula clowns that I've had for almost as long as the tank has been running. About a year ago I got a bubble tip anemone hoping that the clowns would host the anemone but to no luck. Time passed, the anemone has since split twice (total of three bta's now) and the clowns couldn't care about the anemone any less. Until the past couple days.
I notice that the male clown was hovering near the anemone but not going in; I dismissed it since the male clown picks at the rocks for food and I though it was just doing its routine. I came home last night to see the both the male and female clowns swimming from one anemone to the next anemone having a blast. It took over a year to get them in the anemone but I was really happy to see them paired up. Hopefully this will give some hope to others who have all but given up on their clown hosting an anemone. Just took a lot of time but it was worth it. I'll post some pictures tonight.
