As some of you know, my 60g cube is pretty full. So I have received permission from the boss to setup another tank for my zoas/palys and frags. So here is what I am working with...

Marineland 25g RR Cube (18"x18"x18")
Marineland Monterrey Espresso Stand
Custom Sump from Nano Sea Creations (14"x14"x14")
SC-60 Ebay Skimmer
Tunze Silence Return Pump
Vortech MP10
AI Nano LED
Reefkeeper Lite
30 lbs of Tropic Eden Reef Flakes

Here's some pics... hoping to have it up and cycling this weekend.

Nice .. i love to see how that skimmer does for you i was looking into that skimmer also . until i bought a nac6

I have the larger version of that skimmer and I have been very happy with it. It is supposed to be even better with the mesh mod from what I've heard but I have not actually tried it yet

Time for an update...

Had my bro come over and put his welding skills to use. He fabbed up this light stand for me, which I have since painted flat black. The stand swivels out to the right in case I need the light out of the way.

Then I finally convinced Chad to come over and put his plumbing skills to work. Got the tank plumbed and filled up.

It's been cycling for about a week and a half now. The SC-65 skimmer is really doing a great job considering there isn't any bioload yet.

It's just a DIY screen kit from Menards(Like $10) and then you need the 1/4" mesh. You can get it from Bulk Reef Supply or Goat585 on here also sells it. Just cut down the frame to fit your tank and follow the instructions in the kit to attach the mesh.

Great job big kev, seems like you are becoming the cube specialist in our area. keep us posted and can you post a pic FTS of the 60 for us too.

looks pretty cool .. raise the light alot more . maybe 6-8 inches off the watter .. it will look crazy good

So the tank has been setup for just over 4 weeks now. Had a minimal cycle, so I was able to get everything transferred pretty quickly. All my zoas/palys from my 60g are now in this tank and seem to be very happy.

Also added a RBTA and a pair of clowns... an ORA domino ocellaris and a Rod's misbar onyx.

Got a 30g cube where I'm waffling over lighting options. How do you like the AI sol nano on this tank? coverage working well for you? what do you have your settings on for the different color leds?

Yeah I'm getting great growth now that the coral has adjusted. I'm running the whites at 70% and both blues at 100% right now. Still playing with the settings though
