BigKev's Mangrove EcoPico

Decided to change things up on my EcoPico work tank, so I sold my clowns and cleared out the coral. I want this tank to be a lagoon style tank with mangroves. Trying to decide between a couple of Banghai or Pajama Cardinals or a few different gobies. Leaning towards adding some sort of macro algae on the rocks and will probably have some rics and other mushrooms.

The eggcrate is just temporary until the mangroves can hold themselves up.

Here's a couple of pics...

Looks good Kev! Those clowns you sold sure were nice! I got a purple with green flecks hairy mushroom for you, should you go the shroom route. Look at cet's (Craig's) picture of it (or was that only a text? can't remember). His turned out awesome. (Craig, post a pic if you didn't!) In my tank, they look bla. Too low from the light. LMK Kev.

"come on honey, every one else IS growing plants in water, why can't I? ".... "Yep, these really are mangroves, just look at the picture, they match..." ;)

Kev, good thing you posted pics for us to verify! Gotta keep it on the up and up! :)

Chad, we're waiting..... :)

I've never had mangroves. How fast do they grow? What do you do when it gets too beg Kev? Keep raising the light? How long have you had them to get to the stage in your pic?
