Take some good pictures when you get him. Marine Depot lists theirs as Octopus bimaculatus rather than bimaculoides.
It is entirely possible that they are selling 'latus, but I've not seen a good way to differentiate the two in the peer-reviewed literature (other than cutting them open or waiting for eggs!)
