Bio Cube 29

I finally got this cube all setup - currently cycling the live rock / sand. I am having difficulty keeping the water level between the minimum and maximum lines on the side - no bio balls - waiting for the sapphire skimmer. Stock pump.....I did lift the carbon filter up a bit which seemed to have made it better - any ideas?

Cool...Can I ask where exactly is the water line in yours? I have about a 1/4 inch left from the top of the back wall....What I did to increase the flow into the pump chamber is pull up the carbon filter a tab bit, which filled the pump chamber up quicker....

i have mine where it fills the 2nd chamber up and the the 3rd is about.5 to 1.5 inches from the top of the tank. that blue sponge in chamber 3 stops alot of flow also so i took mine out..

Great - did like you said - added more water - now at the max line. Thanks! I just figured that it wouldn't work - more going out than coming in sorta deal...I still can't wait for the Sapphire to come. Ordered from addicativeaquatics. BTW: I see that you have replyed to so of my other posts, too. I will post pics when I get some....thanks again!

Instead of the Sapphire skimmer, anyone else with the BC29 should check out the drop in made by CPR. It is built better and pulls lots of dark crap from the tank. I have one of the first models made, but check with CPR for more info on where to get the skimmer. Fits perfectly down the center chamber and doesn't intefere with the canopy.
