Bio pellets...

Any one know anything about the vertex pellets?? Don't wanna run them if there's problems

My reef SPS dom tank was started 4/2010
Went thru new tank syndrome with Algea hair, Cyano, dinoflags, Byrmo etc..,
I didnt use GFO or GAC
Phosphates were steady at 0.16, never ck'd for nitrates
Started NP bio pellet use 8/2010 No Blooms, Algea hair disappeared
Phosphates dropped to 0.01 after 3 weeks
added additional NPX bio pellets 10/2010 after 40% of the NP pellets were depleted
I now use filter socks and have dual side by side skimmers
I started feeding heavier and more frequently
Phosohates fluncts btwn 0.01-0.03ppm
Ck'd nitrates = zero (Salifert)
With my ULNS system my pellets remain stable at around 1300ml depleting very very slow

So you had the problems with the vertex?? If you where just starting what would you use??

i dont know any one personally with vertex pellets. look into the chemistry section
thats how i started my research
