I suspect they're all about the same, so likely it's safe enough. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't see any reason to go out of my way to get multiple brands, though.
I think it would be fine to do and cannot imagine any problem it could lead to, but I also think there is probably no advantage, just as I do not think there is an advantage to multiple soluble carbon sources over a single source.
I have been running a mix of two different brands for around 6-8 weeks now with no issues. I topped off with brand #2 because they were on sale. I see no difference in them except for maybe shape and color.
Hi, I am using BRS and need to get some more soon and will reorder those unless I need to make my next order with someone else. Basically I see no reason to stay with one brand.
I have them mixed in several tanks. No issue. Do what's cheapest. I have seen that the TLF pellets degrade much faster than the NPX. based on that the NPX is a better deal because they have to be replaced less
