Biocube 14 lighting

I just recently purchased a biocube 14g and I was wondering about the lights that it comes with. I would like to have some prettier corals in there other than zoas and such, but with that I know lighting needs to be increased. Do people recommend upgrade lighting and if so what SPF do you recommend and what corals would go with that? Or are the ones the cube come with good also does it come with moon lighting?

Thank you so much :)

what's your budget? do you want tradicional or led lighting? I want to recommend something you can afford or willing to spend

if you are looking for a retrofit to keep your biocube hood and want to go LED. Steve's LED's or NanoBox Retro kit are the best options hands down. I have the nanobox retro and love it on my 21 cube

I just gota 14 gallon biocube myself after having the biocube 29 for almost a year or so. I am planning on replacing the lights with AI sol nano lights or the AI regular haven't decided i love me some sps corals so i will need to get the right light. That being said i have some ricordia mushrooms a bubble coral star polyps two types of gonistrea a green stripe mushroom and a pink stylophora and they are going great with the stock lights, the Pink stylophora have great color but is very touchy and will be moving into the 14 gallon as soon as possible. any mushroom would work. Star polyps bubble coral, xenia can as well. Also if you are going to get some sort of dwarf angel get it last. I don't recommend them for small tanks but people get them and they need to be added last. I hope that helps you with your lighting. I am still learning as well but this is what works for me and i have never had any problems. I also bought a RODI unit to help with water quality.
