Biocube 32 refugium question

Hi,
I want to install a refugium into the back of my biocube 32. Please keep in mind its a 32 not the 29. Can I make one in the current media basket that comes with the biocube or do I add this product? Has anyone tried this basket?

And if I add that product, does it sit next to the current media basket in chamber 2 or do I have to put it in chamber 1 or 3? If anyone has set up a refuguim in the biocube 32 that product or any other, I'm open to suggestions.
I'm tired of cleaning algae off the glass despite doing weekly water changes and keeping all the levels in proper shape. I'm hoping a refugium will take care of that issue.

Also, if you have upgraded your lights, what have you used? I'm leaning towards the Ecotech marine radion xr15 g4 pro. Id love a hybrid, but not sure the wallet is fat enough right now. I'd like to add pretty much any coral I'd like, but I know I'm limited with the current lights.

Thanks
Mike

I have the same fuge basket, you will need the media basket as well, they evenly split the 2nd chamber. As far as algae growth on the glass, a fuge won't get rid of all algae growth. Especially depending on tank age, feeding practices, etc etc

I also went with the xr15... love it!!

Hi Jvan,

Thanks for the reply. How did you get the top off the biocube 32?
The two ends don't seem to just unscrew, nor do I see where you unhinge the end with a flat head screwdriver, like you do with the biocube 29.
Please advise.
Thanks
Mike

Mike,
Just grab the ends of the hinge pins and pull, them apart. May need you use pliers to hold the flat part of the pins.
