Biocube and MP10 Settings Too Much?

So I've had a problem with circulation and algae, I cranked up the mp10 and now I have clowns swimming in the stream happily. Is this too much for the bc32?

It depends on your tank, corals, sand bed ect. I would think a mp10m at 100% would be a bit much for a even the large 29g biocube. I would say 60-70% with the mp10 in a rear corner 4-5" down would create a very good flow pattern.

thanks...i dialed it back to 75% peak and will see how it goes...no softies and i dont have fine sand so i can go a bit stronger....so far the clowns still love it

I run mine at 40% in my jbj 28g on reef crest mode. Just keep LPS/softies and It is barebottom

I run my MP10 at ~50% in my BC16

I know that reefwreak runs his dual MP10s close to or at 100% and has been doing so for at least a couple of years now if i am not mistaken

Currently running two MP10s at 10-20% on 10G nano. I have sandbed and it is just enough to create push/pull waves through tank. I'd like to get up to 10-30% over time.

PS the MP10s are virtually silent below ~30%

I run mine around 20 - 40% on my bio cube. Anything more blows the sand all over the place and seems to make my coral's mad. I have sugar fine sand though and mostly LPS with a few SPS right in the direct flow.

When I ran my biocube i had 2 mp10's running on reefcrest mode @ 40%. One up high for surface agitation, and one down low for flow over the corals. Anything that didnt need/want high flow I put in locations where there wasn't high flow. Of course your aquascape will dictate where those places are.
