Im getting a new biocube and from what i can tell everyone upgrades the powerhead in there. Ive seen lots of different ones and was looking at a maxijet with a hydor flo thing on it. The only thing i cant figure out is what the right circulation would be. I plan on keeping mostly soft corals in there with a fish or two. Ive seen everything from maxijet 600 to 1500 and i havent a clue which i should go for.
One other thing, how does the hydor flo work? is it just a little propeller in there that spins really fast or does it rotate slowly? if its the first i could make one of those for a lot less than 10 bucks.
