Biocube Trim

I just received my new Biocube, and after setting it on the stand and loading some equipment in I noticed a small, almost hairline crack in the bottom trim of the aquarium. The glass and silicone are in perfect shape under and around it. So exactly how important is that piece of trim to the structure? Am I doomed if I fill it up?

Sorry for the potato quality picture. The crack is about 3.5 inches long and just barely grabs a fingernail running across it. IMG_4039.jpg

No it's not structural... In fact, you can completely remove that trim piece if you want to remove the top and go rimless :)

After searching for a while, I didn't find any info on the bottom trim. I emailed the manufacturer and they said it should be fine but they're sending me out a new tank to be safe.

Free tank! That's great! Do they want the old one back? Turn it into a sump or something if you get to keep it.

I do get to keep it. I think it may turn into a quarantine or possibly be sold to fund a Steve's LED purchase down the road.
