I know I haven't really posted much about this little project, but it's only been up and running for a few months now. I downgraded from the 93 gallon cube to save time and money, and so far I'm loving this little tank! The only reason I didn't get out all together was because my wife really didn't want to get rid of the clowns, and looking at it now I'm happy I agreed lol
So the specifics: It's a 32 gallon Biocube LED, running stock pump and stock lights, plus some additions. I got a ReefBar Pro 50/50 plus a standard 453 nm actinic ReefBar from 21 LEDs USA, and the color combination with the stock lights looks great. I've got great growth so far, some of the Red Monti that was on one of the rocks from the old tank is even starting to grow again.
I have a Jebao PP-4 for some added flow, a Finnex heater with digital display, JBJ ATO setup, and a Sunsetter controller for the extra LEDs. I'm running a slightly modified Coralife nano skimmer in the first chamber, stock media basket in the second chamber with filter floss, PhosGuard, Chemi-Pure Elite, and some rock rubble in the bottom. Simple setup, 5 gallon water changes weekly, and that's about it.
For stocking all I have now are my clowns and a fire shrimp. There's an assortment of zoas, a small hammer, frogspawn, and a duncan. That's it so far. The plan is to keep is simple, zoas and softies and maybe a couple more small fish. I definitely want a yellow watchman goby, after that I'm still not sure lol
