Bird pulling a santa clause

OK, so I have a bird running or rather, hopping and flying around my basement. He fell down the chimney I think, and is just kinda hopping around and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to catch a young bird. I actually have a pic of him perched on the fish tank that I'll put up after I'm done figuring out how to get the little guy out of my drop ceiling.

do you have a fishing net like a big one. if so just trap him in a corner and net him or scare him out when he takes off net him. need to be a big net like used for musky or bass.

use a blanket... or my dads advice is go here birdie birdie birdie and then hit it with a baseball bat... or my moms is roll in peanut butter and bird seed and wait for it to come to you. they are old and senial. so i would just use a blanket

just caught him. He was sorta cornered on the couch after he came out of the ceiling. I was trying the blanket technique, but the little sparrow was too quick for that. Ended up catching him out of the air with a butterfly net and trapping him on a pillow. Then I just took him outside from there.

Looks like you had a clean shot at him. Falls in the tank and the cuc disposes of the carcass.
