Bird Wrasse Feeding Question

I just picked up a pair of smaller bird wrasses. The male seems very picky with food. He charges the food hard, but then just eats a few pieces and loses interest. The female is less picky and eats better.

So far tried:

PE Mysis - both eat it, but just a few pieces and they move on.
Formula (red) - Female only, she seems to like it a lot.
pellets - no interest
Cut up pieces of silver side - no interest
Brine - no interest
Also tried Selcon. I will try garlic next.

The fish were purchased at different stores. Both seem healthy and swimming great. Just wanted to know what others are feeding their bird wrasses.

Thanks!

Might be worth it to try live black worms to get him started, but he could just be this way because he's still stressed from all of the moving around. The food you are feeding looks good and he should come around. I've had great feeding responses to Ocean Nutrition Special Formula VHP (frozen cubes) from every fish I've offered it to, so that might be worth a shot.

I feed all my fish a frozen home made mix of fresh clams, mussells, shrimp, scallops mixed with krill, formula 1, powdered flake food and what ever else I have tossed into a blender and then poured into ziplock bags tossed in the freezer and break off pieces toss in the tank, and even the hardest to get to eat go nuts over it

I just purchased a green bird wrasse. I have him in a tank with non-agressive fish, but he won't eat and just hangs out in a corner. This morning he was swimming along the surface, but then went back to the corner later. I have tried feeding flakes and meysis shrimp, with no luck. Is this typical behavior for the first couple days, or is he going to die? He looks healthy.
