Birds nest coral

Ok so I am new to coral I've had coral in my tank for maybe 2 months now and I just recently got a birds nest coral about a week and a half ago, it seems to be doing very good it always has it polyps out and is very colorful, but my question is how fast do they grow? Because idk if it's just the excitement of having a cool sps coral in my tank or I'm just seeing things but I feel that when I got it I could swear all the tips it had were straight and now when I look at it seems like they are splitting and branching out

Birdsnest can grow very fast if it is happy. New growth generally looks like sharp white tips. I like Birdsnest as an indicator SPS, as they are cheap and usually show signs of stress before other SPS to let you know somthing could be wrong. Good beginner SPS congrats!

Don't doubt it at all. Fastest growing of all my SPS. This is about 7 months growth.
