Birdsnest frag help

I have a very small little frag of pink birdsnest and two of the tips of it have turned brown, like it has a brown goo on it almost. We're talking like a millimeter or two total size of each tip, so very small. Should I snip these off? Leave them alone? I did move the frag up a little on the rock so closer to the lights. thanks

Almost sounds like a little cyno or algae on the tips. Does the stuff blow off?

No, just tried blasting it with a baster and nothing. Doesn't look like cyano to me, is really a true brown color.

I have my pink birdsnest within 15 inches of a 400W MH light if that helps. Seems to like flow too.

Not sure about pruning off then ends though. Maybe wait since it's such a small spot.

I'm a bit farther than that from my 250's. Since I have some other SPS in there now, maybe I should lower my lights a bit more.
