Birdsnest Help

Hello all,
I currently have a birdsnest in my 60 gal that has been a great grower. It has lost some color, but I got lazy for a little while with dosing. I am also curious if I could have it to high in my tank. I have 4 T5's on it and the birstnest is aboue 2/3's of the way up.

My real question is I am thinking baout moving the colony to my 40gal and am wondering if i should just put it on the bottom of the tank. I have a 6 bulb T5 on the 40. This tank has been running about 6 months now and the goal is for it to be an sps tank. I just dont want to worry about losing the birdsnest, but I think it would do better in the 40 with more lighting.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Start it low and move it up slowly. My green birdsnest is 2 inches underwater under LEDs and grows like crazy, but it started at the bottom.

I agree with Rovster ... it can handle the high light as long as its acclimated appropriately.

I start all my SPS in the sandbed regardless of their light requirements ... and then I move them from there over time.
