OK, need some opinion or facts. I have both corals mentioned in the title in my tank and the birdsnest was showing great color, however the acros where very light in color. So taking some advice from other reefers, I upped my feedings of the tank and corals. Now the acros are coloring up more, but the birdsnest appears to be more brown than green. Does this make sense? Maybe there is a sweet spot for both, but seems it may be a small one. The only other difference is the birdsnest is lower in the tank. Now that there is more food / nutrients, should I move it higher for more light? Don't want to lose the coral, but definitely willing to sacrifice the birdsnest to keep the acros happy.

I wonder if it's related to your dull Monti problem?
There are so many birds and they all seem to like something different. Do you have a picture of this one? I suspect brown is not enough light but really have no good idea. I've never had issues with birdsnest until I got this small brown frag for free that has refused to color up. My other 4 birdsnest all have good color and growth regardless of where I put them, with the possible exception of the Ponape that does prefer lower light to look its best.
