bizarre transparent amber discs in reef tank

I know I know... you guys need a photo, and as soon as the battery is charged I'll try to get one (warning though, all we have is a cheapo old kodak digital but I'll do my best)

Thought maybe someone would know what I'm talking about by the description though.

A few weeks ago I was looking in my tank and saw this strange thing, about dime sized... perfectly round, amber colored, and transparent... I had no idea what it was or where it came from, this is a 24g aquapod with a closed top. Eventually I forgot about it... just now I was looking again after my water change and I see another, although smaller, one in the back!!!

Any ideas?

My guess would be an operculum, the "trapdoor" of a snail, you have margarita snails in there?

interesting, I hadn't even thought of that! No margarita that I ever added: only nassarius, astrea, and cerith... oh and I did have 4 nerites but they didn't make the move.
