I purchased my mini about a year ago and installed it for the first time on my 75g fowlr. The tank is moderately stocked and I feed normally but I get almost no skimmate. I have the skimmer set in 8" of water and it appears to be operating normally. The neck of the skimmer gets some scum built up after about three days, but the foam hardly ever reaches the collection cup. I gave it a vinager bath for about 6 hours which I thought might help but didn't improve at all. Maybe the pump is defective?
