BK's 110 Gallon Build

The doors are on the canopy. Took me two days to do this. I picked the wrong hinges the. I didn't like these but after some internal monologue I decided to use them anyway. Turned out pretty good. The trim on the top and bottom is just sitting on there for now. Had to see what it looks like.

Looks great! Oh yeah, the doors look nice too. :D

The stand is coming together. I got all the doors on and also half the trim on the canopy before my 3 month old decided he hates the sound of the table saw or any kind of power tool. I might have to move this project to the acrylic shop if his nap times keep interfering with my basement project time.

I also fired up the halides to test them. They work great!!

lol he has no idea I'm doing this for him. So he can have fishies lol

Thank you. I'm sure your stand will turn out great. You put so much effort into the stand for your filtration system I can only imagine what you can/will do for the display!

nice avatar:D

and the stand is nice too!

I'm glad you are happy with the avatar

and

the stand ha ha

I want to say thank you to smoothdog and ebacon. smoothdog thanks for bringing the tank to me and ebacon thank you for helping load the tank!

After smoothfog graciously delivered the tank to me I just had to get the stand finished. Now it's 100% DONE!!

Today I spent most of my day scraping 7 years of coralline algae off the back of the tank. It soaked over night in 10 gallons of vinegar and 90 gallons of water. Still took scraping with spatulas, razor blades and chisels to get it all off. It looks like a new tank now.

I also ran a 15amp GFCI behind the tank. I had a unused 15amp breaker so that made sense. It should be more than enough to run everything I plan on running.

It has been a busy weekend.

Where'd you get that tank BK? That can't possibly be my old one, you would have needed a jackhammer. Looks fantastic!
