Black axil Chromis (purple colored spots)

I have 5 small black axil chromis in quarantine for a month. They have been treated with Cupramine and Prazipro during the first few weeks. Now they seem to have purplish spots on the sides of their body.

Parameters are all great and they are eating voraciously, swimming, no signs of scratching, etc. It does seem to be more prevalent in the 2 larger fish.

The picture doesn't due the color justice. At first I thought Ich, but with no other symptoms and the amount of spots I would think they would be miserable.

Then I thought maybe because it was the bigger fish, maybe changing colors or replacing scales?

I think uronema might be right. Going to try a freshwater dip tonight, then do some hyposalinity. I can get flagyl at work and may start with some of that.

Does anyone know the correct dosage for Flagyl (metronidazole?)

Does anyone know the correct dosage for Flagyl (metronidazole?)

I read snorvich's column and it recommends 34mg/l to get to a therapeutic dose. In my 20 gallon QT tank (75 liters) that comes out to 2550mg of flagyl.

The prepared meds usually recommend only 250 to 500 mg for a 20 gallon tank. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
