black back

just got a new 55 tank .. was wondering how u guys feel about painting the back black .. does anyone have any pix ?

does the 55 have an overflow? My 120 has two, so i painted mine black. It would look werid if it went from blue to black to blue to black to blue.

Well you really don't have to paint it. They sell back grounds that are blue on one side and black on the other side. I also saw a post the other day where a RC member used limo black glass tint, and it looked really good.
And i think it might be easier to sell when you decide to upgrade.

The paint is really easy to get off if you need to remove it later.

i like it... i just painted it black .. and its just about dry .. my stand is also black and so is my light fixture... so i figure it would all match nice.

The probem with using something like vinyl is you get dust in there and it's hard to clean. My next tank will be painted.
